PAL4youth 2018-2020

Pal4youth project - Partnership for a more active life of young people with intellectual disabilities is done in cooperation of two organizations: Zveza Sožitje (Slovenia) and SPMP ČR – Inclusion Czech Republic.

Program: Erasmus+, Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices - strategic partnership in the field of youth. Duration: 15. 10. 2018 - 15. 4. 2020.

About the project: Young people with intellectual disabilities are deprived of realistic information about their rights, their bodies and the opportunities they have. The main objectives of the project are to build partnerships between organizations, develop tools for information and education on relationships, sexuality and health care for young people with intellectual disabilities and their parents, as well as the development of a model of youth work with young people with intellectual disabilities.

In the project we developed:

Booklets for girls and boys:

Being a Woman, Being a Man, Love, Sex and Me, A Visit to the Gynaecologist, Pregnancy, Childirth, Sexual Violence. All the booklets are written in ETR - Easy-to-read language.

Booklet Growing Up. A booklet for parents of young people with intellectual disabilities. Topics are relationships, sexuality, support in growing up. We hope that the booklet will also support professionals working with youth on these issues.
